Artist and decorator during studying at architecture university, Mila was attending technical drawing classes, where she developed her understanding of shapes, perspective, and proportions. Despite education in a different industry, Mila always wanted to be an artist. Since moving to new zealand in 2012, Mila has started developing her art, working and self-studying about old masters. She was always fascinated by the masterpieces of Dutch painters. In 2017-2018 Mila attended the school of art, where she studied the basics of Dutch still life and the basics of the Italian painting technique. At the same time, Mila is interested in meditation and spiritual practices. Most of the ideas for her artworks come up in meditation. Mila believes that the world is made up of vibrations, both low and high, some of them bring our mind into depression mode, and some of them evoke a sense of beauty and love. Her images and pieces are designed to deliver vibrations of joy, elegance, and kindness to the audience. Mila’s love for French style is adding unique combinations to her pieces.
Mila is interested in wildlife and was lucky enough to visit South Africa and Kruger National Park in 2022. South Africa made a big impression on her, with amazing landscapes, unforgettable colours of wildlife, and towns with wonderful Dutch and French heritage. Capturing details of interior designs, stunning private gardens at places where she stayed, and interaction between décor and African nature assist to inspire her to create unique art pieces for the interior. In mid-2022 Mila started experimenting with chalk paints, using them for painting on furniture and small décor items. She likes to use detailed subjects in her composition, manipulating graphics and colours, adding to pieces French fleur and a light vintage look. Interpretation of Dutch techniques, romantic French and non-standard format creates a sense of new perception of decorative art in the modern world.
