Shirley Boys' & Avonside Girls' High School is a state of the art “ultimate campus” designed by ASC Architects as part of 4 schools built under the Ministry of Education’s PPP3 Schools Project. As whole life cycle cost of the building were an important part of the design, Adlux worked closley with the architects on the skylighting needs for these schools.
With 114 Roof Windows in total helping reduce energy consumption, by making use of free natural daylight, the students and teachers at this school will enjoy the many benefits that natural daylight offers. With many studies showing that natural daylight Increases focus and concentration, Supports better mental agility and memory, Reduces stress levels and Improves mood and morale, the students at these schools will be among the brightest in the country.
