The trio of matching pendants over a kitchen island has had a very good innings. For years it was almost impossible to open Pinterest without seeing them. Build a new home? Three pendants. Renovate your kitchen? Three pendants. Long island? Well... obviously three pendants. It became one of those design "rules" that nobody really questioned. But here's the thing...
