Sandbox Properties and Hutchinson Builders install 7 Plungies before lunch

Sandbox Properties Marlowe Residences aim to deliver unrivalled lifestyle overlooking the waterfront at Runaway Bay in Queensland’s Southeast. It isn’t hard to see why all 7 of these beautiful properties have recently been sold off the plan.

It was important for Sandbox to develop a product that satisfied an evolving market and sophisticated buyer. One who demands all the modern amenity, exceptional finishes and leisure without having to leave the comfort of their own home. When developing a quality product of such high standards within a tight timeframe, creating efficiencies on site can be critical in the project’s overall success. So often projects of this scale will have early delays, especially when getting out of the ground. The partnership with Plungie proved instrumental in fast tracking this stage of the build, allowing Hutchies to have the majority of the pool component completed within less than half a day.

With all 7 of these pools needing to sit up out of the ground, the time, cost and additional labour involved in building them the traditional way just wasn’t feasible. This solution allowed Hutchinson Builders to push on with the rest of the build knowing the hard work had been taken care of by Plungie. No other pool on the market has the ability to be delivered at such scale, installed with such speed giving both the builder and developer so much control.

Plungie’s innovative design has been developed in an advanced manufacturing facility and controlled environment that means the pools arrive ready to use every time. There’s no need for on-site forming and waiting for concrete to cure. For Hutchies and Sandbox the pools will now be covered to prevent falls while the properties are built around them over the coming months. We can’t wait to get back down to Runaway Bay later this year to capture the finished project and see how the developer, builder and Plungie have been able to deliver an innovative new way of working to deliver for their clients.
