Barrisol's "Print Your Mind" Technology

The sky's the limit with Barrisol's "Print Your Mind" where any pattern, image, or logo can be reproduced on stretched ceilings, allowing for personalised and unique designs. This technology enables designers to infuse spaces with customised visuals, expanding the possibilities of interior aesthetics.

Bar Julius: A Fusion of Art and Architecture

Located within The EVE Hotel in Surry Hills, Bar Julius showcases the seamless integration of art and architecture. With a double-arched ceiling beckoning diners inside, adorned with a large-scale artwork titled "Still Life" by Louise Olsen, co-founder of Dinosaur Designs. This mural, inspired by everyday objects like bottles and vases, envelops the space in vibrant colours and forms, creating an immersive dining experience.

The design, conceived by architecture firm SJB, incorporates a formal dado and the vaulted ceiling to balance order and lightness. The collaboration with Louise Olsen was aimed at embedding Australian art within the bar, resulting in a space that is both grounded and spirited.

The Role of Barrisol in Realising the Vision

The realisation of this ambitious ceiling was made possible through Barrisol's advanced printing and installation capabilities. Barrisol Sydney executed the project, utilising a CCT backlit, printed, Biowood feature ceiling to bring Olsen's artwork to life. This approach not only enhances the visual appeal but also contributes to the ambiance through controlled lighting.

The collaboration between Barrisol, SJB, and Louise Olsen at Bar Julius exemplifies the transformative power of feature ceilings in modern design. By leveraging Barrisol's "Print Your Mind" technology, the project successfully merges artistic expression with architectural innovation, setting a new standard for immersive interior environments.
