This Potts Point flat transformation showcases how thoughtful design and quality craftsmanship can breathe new life into even the smallest spaces.

At Prescom Constructions, we thrive on challenges and our recent Potts Point renovation put us to the test.

The project? A cramped 42sqm apartment built in the 1980s in one of Sydney’s most vibrant suburbs. With a broken elevator and limited space to work in, delivering materials and managing trades was no easy task. But we were determined to create a home that was not just beautiful, but also highly functional.

The result: A cleverly designed, light-filled apartment that maximises every square metre without compromising on style.

✨ Tips for Maximising Small Spaces
If you’re living in a compact apartment or home, here are a few lessons we applied at Potts Point that you can use too:

  • Opt for built-in storage – Think under-bed drawers, wall-mounted shelving, and cabinetry that doubles as seating.
  • Maximise natural light – Mirrors and lighter finishes create the illusion of a bigger, brighter space.
  • Multi-functional furniture – Fold-out desks, extendable tables, or ottomans with hidden storage.
  • Smart layout choices – Position furniture to open up walkways and keep the room flowing naturally.

Small spaces come with big opportunities—you just need the right approach to unlock their potential.
