SONDO, which was developed in cooperation with Gerhard Busalt, is a fusion of the classic bowl shape with the modern, purist form of the cylinder. It unifies the character of Alape’s distinctive 3 mm glassed steel with the simple elegance of a bowl. Its proportions give the impression of a sit-on basin that almost levitates above the washstand. Despite the reduction of design, the user does not have to do without functionality. The deep form and generous diameter of the basin make for comfortable handling and use.
The generous dimensions and timeless design make SONDO a characteristic and strongly expressive element of the washplace. It demonstrates impressively the advantages of glassed steel as a material and, thanks to the precise manufacturing and the homogenous glass surface, it sits harmoniously among all materials, with all living styles, in all settings.
