Black Silk Marble

The word "marble" derives from the Greek word "μάρμαρον" (mármaron), meaning "crystalline rock, shining stone”. Marbles come in a huge range in colour from the very clean whites, through whites with dramatic bands of colour through to the beiges, browns and blacks – and even bright greens and reds.

INTERESTING FACT: The amazing Taj Mahal in India is clad entirely in marble.
