Bluestone is a dense and durable natural basalt stone formed from volcanic lava. Renowned for its strength, versatility, and timeless appeal, bluestone has been widely used in architectural and landscape applications for generations. Characterised by its blue-grey to charcoal colour palette, it often features subtle tonal variation, natural texture, and distinctive cat's paw markings, small lighter-grey circular patterns created by the mineral composition within the stone. These unique markings are a sought-after characteristic that enhance the authenticity and natural beauty of bluestone.
