Tradewinds is a locally owned company specialising in umbrellas, shade systems and outdoor products. 

Over 25 years, Tradewinds has developed into one of the top suppliers of residential and commercial umbrellas in New Zealand, you will rarely sit outside at a café, tavern or restaurant enjoying a long black, lunch or a chilled glass of New Zealand’s finest and not be sitting under an umbrella that Tradewinds has supplied. 

Laurie and Sharron Stewart acquired the Auckland based business in 2019 and have already expanded the product range. Bringing European brands like Fatboy® to New Zealand has seen the range expand to include outdoor furniture and lighting along with the Flexy Shade System from FIM. 

These new brands offer iconic style and quality design solutions that have not been available before in New Zealand. 

Our core business, however, is still shade and we really have something for everybody from a premium 2.6m classic café style to a selection of more substantial 4.0m octagonal centre pole umbrellas. If required, products can be custom branded for commercial use. 

In partnership with well-respected Kiwi manufacturer Shadowspec, Tradewinds can also offer a range of technically advanced, single and multi-canopy cantilever umbrellas which are becoming much more popular for commercial purposes because of their quality and versatility and, above all, because they represent great value for money.
