Feature Roof Trusses

Website

Adding two or more feature roof trusses, thereby creating extra height to the ceiling, is a fantastic and cost-effective way to add value and character to your build.

There are many different styles of feature truss, with each design having specific characteristics which work well in particular situations.  The choice of truss will partly depend upon design requirements; eg: provision of extra headroom where building height is restricted, spanning a large room, incorporation of a mezzanine level etc. Equally important, however, is how the trusses and resulting rooms will look and that of course comes down to personal taste.

We offer trusses made from a wide variety of timbers including from Macrocarpa, Lawsons Cypress, Ironbark and Oak. The choice of timber will depend on your budget and the look and feel you are wanting to create. We also offer a range of finish options with a textured oil finish being the most popular. Our oils are supplied by the Natural House Company who offer a wide range of colours and tones such as clear, whitewashed, oak, teak and charcoal.

The joinery type is also an important consideration and we offer construction with traditional joinery with oak pegs; hidden steele connections or face-fixed plates. Again the choice largely depends on the look that you are trying to acheive.

Heritage Timbercraft's sister company, Timberworks have crafted countless trusses over the past 18 years and the gallery pages of the website show many examples of these.  Contact us if you would like to discuss including some feature trusses in your design.
