FlowSmart Hot Water Circulator
FlowSmart provides any hot water outlets that are distant from a cylinder with almost instant hot water with an energy efficient, low cost and easy to install solution. This enables a single hot water cylinder to serve outlets that would usually be too far away and may otherwise require a second water heater.
The system is designed for homes with hot water outlet/s that are more than 12m from the hot water cylinder. By including FlowSmart a single hot water system can be used throughout the home, making it easier to specify a single, energy efficient hot water system such as hot water heat pump, solar system or central heating boiler plus cylinder.
FlowSmart can be installed on any hot water cylinder and is the perfect complement to Reclaim CO2 heat pumps, Apricus solar hot water and Easypell pellet boilers, providing a single, highly efficient and sustainable hot water system.
The system can also be used in existing homes to solve long wait times for hot water and water waste if there is access between the cylinder and remote bathroom or other hot water outlet, to run a return pipe back to the cylinder.

- The system is designed to be used with hot water outlet/s that are more than 12m from the hot water cylinder, in a single direction (see FlowSmart example homes pdf below)
- The pipework loop to the remote outlet/s and the cylinder must come off the cylinder before the tempering valve to meet Building Code requirements
- A local tempering valve/s is required above or at the point of use to temper the water down to 55'C to meet Building Code.
- One controller and pump can circulate water through one pipe loop, all outlets served need to be on this pipe loop. A second pipe loop in an opposite direction can be addded but this requires a complete second FlowSmart system.
