Joseph Giles designed the Recessed Magnetic Door Catch to fix the things that clients do not like about traditional roller bolts such as being a little aggressive to use, noisy, and having a visible strike plate. Utilising high-strength neodymium magnets carefully encased in solid brass housings, the Recessed Magnetic Door Catch ensures a door is easy to use, silent in operation, and has no visible strike plates.

The Recessed Magnetic Door Catch has been designed specifically for full size doors, including wardrobe doors. It can be fitted on the top, bottom or leading edge of the door.

The catch is made from solid brass with fully concealed high strength neodymium magnets. Both parts attach using 6mm woodscrews which are fully concealed once assembled. The operation is completely silent as there are no moving parts. Unlike other magnetic catch designs, there is no visible steel or magnet anywhere.

While this is designed for full size doors, the holding force is not as strong as traditional roller catches, and so we do not recommend it for doors in drafty areas. Alternatively, multiples can be fitted to increase the hold strength.
