The first impression is warmth, burnt caramel and ripe plum with a trace of spice, generous and enveloping. A wash of golden amber settles across the surface with confidence, carrying the patience of maturity, ready to be savoured.

Dark cherry and seasoned oak sit beneath the glow, giving structure to the warmth and allowing the composition to breathe. Each layer is deliberate and balanced, like fruit released slowly through a traditional basket press, where depth is drawn out with care and precision.

Texture moves in worked passages, pressed and allowed to rest, building character over time. Light gathers across the surface in soft shifts, lifting the caramel tones and drawing the eye inward.

Prior to focusing on her art, Lee spent 30 years in brand, marketing, and customer experience design; Lee has collaborated with top creatives in the industry, honing her eye for detail and artistic expression. This rich background informs her approach to art, where each piece is crafted with intention and a deep understanding of visual impact.

In 2008, Lee founded Sabaai Art School and Gallery, creating a space where people could unlock their own creative potential in a beautiful, nurturing environment. This experience solidified her commitment to fostering creativity in herself and others.

Through her art, Lee seeks to enhance spaces and bring a sense of serenity to those who encounter them. Her work celebrates colour, form, and the emotional resonance of abstract expression.
