Raffaella Benetti’s (1961) artistic output spans across a number of fields within contemporary art, although she predominantly pertains to painting and sculpting. Her early study of philosophy at the University of Ferarre, and participation in architectural courses for the Liturgy in Rome, perhaps reveal the artist’s predisposition to a deeper contemplation of the constructs that support her designs; such as her research on colour and light and subsequent experimentation with valuable metals.
