Perfect for entertaining or for giving as a unique gift, our 'Pinot' Wine Barrel Platters are one of our most popular platters. Hand crafted in our own Hawke's Bay workshop from the entire top of a French Oak wine barrel and fitted with two options of black cast iron handles, each platter is truly one-of-a-kind.

Choose either a standard static style platter, or a Lazy Susan option fitted with a heavy duty Lazy Susan (select from the PLATTER STYLE dropdown list above).

Take it a step further and personalise your platter with laser engraving (select from the ENGRAVING dropdown list above).

Please note: each of our wine barrel products are individually hand crafted from retired French Oak wine barrels and will naturally have their own unique markings and variations in wood grain and texture - no two platters are the same or will be exactly as shown in our pictures.

Each of our wine barrel products are individually hand crafted from retired French Oak wine barrels and naturally have their own unique markings and variations in wood grain and texture, making each piece unique. No two are the same or will be exactly as shown in our pictures.

All our wine barrel products can be cleaned with just warm soapy water and finished off with a coating of high grade Olive Oil.

Engraving Info

Laser engraving is available on this product and is done on our own in-house laser wood engraving machine in our Hawke's Bay workshop.

There is an additional cost of $59 for a simple engraving.

If you have a more custom engraving design in mind, please email it to us at contact@winecountrycraft.co.nz for a quote as custom designs may incur additional costs depending on the complexity of the design. Custom designs require at least 1 weeks' notice.

What Happens?

Upon receipt of your order, we will liaise with you directly on a design, sending you examples to choose from, and then a final proof for approval before we engrave.

Once the engraving design is approved and finalised, there's an additional 2-3 days to carry out the engraving, on top of any lead time for making the product.

Founded in 2002, Wine Country Craft is one of the original creators of wine barrel platters and craft in New Zealand, specialising in bespoke rustic homeware crafted from retired wine barrels that once housed beautiful New Zealand wines – from their popular Wine Country Craft 'Pinot' Platters and 'Merlot' Platters, to barrel clocks and mirrors, furniture and homeware, drinks coolers, wine cabinets and racks, and much more.

Under new ownership in early 2022, the tradition of Wine Country Craft is continued by brothers Glenn and Andy who can be found in their Hawke’s Bay workshop in Hastings, with wives Veronica and Paula heading up their Napier retail store.
