The Pylon table owes its name to an electricity pylon, which provided the inspiration for the structure of this design’s legs. These sleek, regular pillars of steel bring a sense of harmony to the piece while simultaneously supporting the tabletop. At the heart of Pylon is its ability to bring together two different types of materials and make them coexist—in trademark Diesel style.
In the new Liquid Marble finish, a slab of liquid marble-effect porcelain stoneware is laid under a sheet of glass to create a new tabletop, which is available in various sizes. This fresh envisioning of the vintage-inspired table has a grittier aesthetic that prior models; it draws energy from the contrast between the intentionally artificial-looking marble-effect top and the powder-coated black metal base, with its clean but aggressive lines.
