Heathcote Appliances was founded in 1946 by Richard ‘Dick’ Heathcote. Initially, it began in Morrinsville, but since has expanded to include large-format stores in Hamilton City and The Base (NZ's Largest Shopping Centre) in Te Rapa - as well as two rural stores in Morrinsville and Te Awamutu.

Dick’s business motto was “We Sell the Best and Service the Rest”; an approach which even today gives us a strong point of difference. From the heart of the Waikato, we continue to provide the biggest brands and excellent service for generations of customers. To this day the business is still 100% owned and operated by the Heathcote family, the business has expanded to include a fully certified appliance service department and a specialised air conditioning/heat pump installation and service team.
