Travertine Ocean Blue

Travertine is a form of limestone, deposited by minerals at mineral springs, especially hot ones. Aquatic plants and other organic organisms often colonise the surface of the travertine and being preserved there, give travertine its distinctive porosity.

INTERESTING FACT: The Burghausen Castle in Germany, the longest castle in Europe at 1,043m and believed to be built around 1025 AD, is constructed mainly of travertine.
