Mammoth underfloor blanket is made from 100% polyester and is a great option for reducing heat loss through suspended timber floors.

Mammoth® underfloor blanket is recommended only for experienced installers or builders as the insulation is stapled into place between floor joists near electrical wiring. Mammoth polyester insulation is moisture resistant and so is the preferred option for suspended floors.

Also available are high-performance, self-supporting, easy-to-install Mammoth underfloor sections with a higher R-value and our Carpark Panels.

Mammoth products contain recycled polyester fibres. Mammoth underfloor blanket insulation uses up to 3,300 recycled plastic bottles per 100sqm*.

  • 100% polyester carded thermal insulation in a soft, roll-form for residential and commercial applications. 
  • Mammoth products use recycled polyester fibres. The equivalent of 2,770 to 4,250 recycled plastic bottles are used per 100sqm* depending on product R-Value. 
  • Mammoth is moisture, mould and mildew resistant. Mammoth insulation will continue to perform once dried out. 
  • Lightweight and easy to handle - can easily be torn to length or cut with shears. 
  • Available in varying widths to minimise waste. 
  • Non-corrosive - will not affect electrical wiring underfloor. 
  • Heat bonded - no glues or binders that can break down so it won't sag or settle over time. 
  • Red List Free - no formaldehyde or pesticides added. 
  • Safe, non-itch, odourless and non-toxic - no precautions are required for handling the product. 
  • All of Mammoth underfloor blankets are BRANZ 802 Appraised and have Environmental Choice certification.

Our Take-back Program

Talking about taking product back and making it our client’s problem to get it back to us is one thing, actively putting bins around the country and making it easier for our clients to recycle their offcuts is another.

We don’t believe it is good enough to say, get it back to our factory and we will recycle the product. We believe putting our hand up and sharing that responsibility is a necessity. That’s why we are proud to announce we have started the process of putting Mammoth recycling bins around the country. The first two locations, beyond our factory in Auckland, are Hamilton and Wellington. We encourage all Mammoth Insulation users to bring their clean offcuts back to these locations so we can avoid landfill and create a circular economy by recycling them.
