Mammoth wall sections are semi-rigid polyester insulation designed to be friction fitted into the wall cavity.

Creating a seamless, smooth fit without tucks, creases or gaps, Mammoth® wall sections provide both thermal and acoustic benefits for homes and buildings. Mammoth wall sections are made on New Zealand's only airlay insulation plant - accept no substitutes.

Mammoth products contain recycled polyester fibres. Mammoth wall section insulation uses up to 15,600 recycled plastic bottles per 100sqm*.

For walls requiring roll form insulation, there is the option of our Mammoth Wall Blanket or for masonry or concrete walls, we have the option of our Masonry Insulation.

  • Easy and safe to install - simply squeezes between joists with no need for staples. 
  • Heat bonded - no glues or binders that can break down so it won't sag or settle over time. 
  • Mammoth sections come in pre-cut sections of varying widths. Sections can easily be cut using wide blade craft knives or specialised insulation saws. 
  • Self-supporting for a smooth friction fit without creases, folds or tucks. 
  • Safe, non-itch, odourless and non-toxic - no precautions are required for handling the product. 
  • Unaffected by moisture, Mammoth insulation will continue to perform once dried out. 
  • Red List Free - no formaldehyde or pesticides added. 
  • Mammoth wall sections are BRANZ 797 Appraised and & have Environmental Choice certification. NZ Green Building Council approved. 
  • Long lasting, Mammoth insulation is performance warranted for 50 years (T&Cs apply). 
  • Mammoth wall insulation products have an ODP of zero. Mammoth products are made in a zero waste production process and are fully recyclable.

Our Take-back Program

Talking about taking product back and making it our client’s problem to get it back to us is one thing, actively putting bins around the country and making it easier for our clients to recycle their offcuts is another.

We don’t believe it is good enough to say, get it back to our factory and we will recycle the product. We believe putting our hand up and sharing that responsibility is a necessity. That’s why we are proud to announce we have started the process of putting Mammoth recycling bins around the country. The first two locations, beyond our factory in Auckland, are Hamilton and Wellington. We encourage all Mammoth Insulation users to bring their clean offcuts back to these locations so we can avoid landfill and create a circular economy by recycling them.
