Hinuera Natural Stone. This classic rough face profile has been the forefront of Hinuera, and has a unique and distinct character. Its solid stone look and feel conjures up images of a classic English manor with its rugged beauty and charm. Cladding blocks are split with a guillotine during production, and are able to be either kiln fired or natural in look. The splitstone cladding is then laid with the split face outward, giving a rough appearance to the wall.

COLOUR: KILN FIRED. Kiln Firing is when the stone is baked up to 700 degress and turns the natural colour of the stone into terracotta or golden brown tones, and highlights the natural markings and veining in the stone.

GRADE: AHI/VITRIC. This stone is taken from the upper layers of the quarry. It is varied in texture, and is characterised by unique inclusions of hard pumice and fragments of metal and basalt. The Natural colour varies from cream to grey and when Kiln Fired, from pale terracotta to a rich Golden Brown.
