An entertainment unit is designed to keep audiovisual hardware out of sight, keeping cords tidy and out of reach of children or pets. They can look great too. Whether the decor is traditional, contemporary, bespoke or vintage, there are options to suit any living space.

Whether it's a more compact entertainment unit or a full spec home entertainment unit to really show off the home media, there are plenty of options to choose from. Whether it’s a space for merging media with artefacts or design objects, or simply a place solely focused on media, the right TV console for one space can be vastly different to that of another. 

If space is an issue, it’s worth considering a corner cabinet. Often, utilising the corner of a room is an easy way to create the illusion of extra floor space while still ensuring the best functionality from a TV cabinet. 

Incorporating bar cabinets, storage cabinets, storage trunks and chests can also provide additional storage areas so it's worth considering whether storage, space or viewing considerations are the main priorities when perusing cabinets. 

Like dimension and form, materiality options are vast for TV cabinets, with everything from timber to the more industrial steel aesthetic. Whether it's a bespoke copper cabinet or a minimalist glass look, the options are vast so it pays to consider the overall design aims of the space and how a television unit will complement the decor. In some cases, a pared-back cabinet that retreats into the background is the preferred option, while in others a bold statement is the best option. For media rooms, where the screen is the ultimate feature, bold options and materials are often the preferred option.
