LED Strip Lights

- LED’s, or Light-Emitting Diodes, are a range of lights that emit more lumens per watt than traditional incandescent light bulbs. From a very small bulb, they can produce a lot of light, which means increased creativity and artistic options for lighting, as well as minimising electricity use by up to 85%. This energy-saving is due to almost no heat being created by the light, which also means it’s a much lower fire risk as well.

LED lights have a much longer lifespan than other lighting sources too, lasting 50,000 to 100,000 hours. They also are great at showing what the actual colour of things are- unlike traditional lighting which is red, yellow or blue tinged, LEDs have great colour rendering, making them ideal for use in shops where colour matching is important.

LED Strip lights

These are literally strips of tiny lights which can be cut to length. These are ideal for small spaces which require lighting options in awkward spaces, as they are low profile and flexible to go around corners. They can be compatible with most home automation systems, dimmable, and come in a range of colours. They can also be dust-and-water proofed, making them ideal for use in area such as bathroom cabinets, wardrobes, night lights along the hallway or under kitchen cupboards to light benchtops.

LED downlights

The ubiquitous answer to lighting in most Kiwi homes, these recessed lights can be scattered throughout living areas, bathrooms and kitchens, in bedrooms and garages, and even outside tucked under veranda awnings. They are designed to blend in and not compete with the existing house design, and can be supplied in white, black, and other finishes. They can be static or adjustable, depending on what you are intending to light.

LED ceiling lights

If you’re a bit more adventurous wanting plain downlights, LED lights have an immense range of lights that are incredibly beautiful and well-designed. With almost no limitations on what LED lights can do, the feature lights are truly jaw-dropping. These can range from functional and simple through to elaborate works of art-your only limitation is your imagination.

 LED spotlights

Due to the better bang-for-your-buck in terms of wattage, LED lights make great spotlights. Whether you’re looking for external security lighting, internal lights for kitchen spaces, or a spotlight for your favourite Monet, there are heaps of options from mildly bright to blinding. LEDs only emit light in a 180o direction, unlike traditional lights which light 360o, making them better at targeting certain areas.

LED mirrors

For the ultimate on home décor, LED mirrors provide style and another option for a lighting source. The mirrors naturally increase the perception of size of the room, but the added lighting also doubles the light, with reflection as well as the originating light source. For bathrooms, wardrobes and dressing rooms, or even living spaces and bedrooms, an LED mirror looks great and also helps with makeup application.
