Viking Enviroclad FBS (fleece-backed system) is Enviroclad with a ‘fluffy’ polyester layer that has been factory-laminated to the underside. Enviroclad FBS is one of the best re-roofing solutions for overlaying over old bitumen or uneven substrates such as rough concrete. A specialised two-part polyurethance foam adhesive is used to securely bond the membrane to the old roof surface and the fleeced underside forgives its roughness; creating a smoother surface than before. An unsightly, rough substrate would otherwise show more imperfections through the surface of any non-fleece-backed membrane.
