Cook Sargisson Pirie and Williams Architects Ltd is a multi award wining practice which, for close to fifty years, has been at the forefront of New Zealand architecture. Since first being established in 1968 the company has been involved in most areas of architecture, urban design, master planning and interior design.
Our work spans small to large scale projects and budgets and is unified by a commitment to design excellence. Our focus is on creating buildings that engage with their environment and enhance their occupant’s quality of life. Working across the spectrum of residential, commercial, educational and urban design Cook Sargisson Pirie and Williams has amassed an impressive body of work that explores a distinctly New Zealand style.
Our residential projects extend from sophisticated apartments and inner city houses to casual rural retreats. Our commercial projects include retail, hospitality, resort tourism, rest homes, childcare centres and mixed use developments.
Each project is approached as a unique proposition. All design work is carried out by the partners who each manage a small team of qualified architects plus necessary technical staff.
Design standards, recognised by forty national and international design awards, are maintained by fully utilising the depth of experience of the partners whose 45 plus years of active design management is the basis of the current strength of the practice.
In all projects we encourage a high level of participation by the parties involved from the client to contractor and end user.
We promote the principle that better Architecture is more easily achieved by working alongside designers, engineers, interior consultants, landscape consultants, artists and contractors.
