Artwork | Takapuna

Website

Traditional in spirit, but twisted with bold, unexpected elements, Artwok invites its Takapuna patrons to experience the best of Chinese street fare in a busy, friendly environment. The rich, warm palette welcomes guests to the space: wrapped in terracottas, teals and timber, accented by bold metallics.

Balancing the lively ground floor space, an intimate, slower-paced upstairs dining room features round communal tables stained in dark tones. Surrounding quilted banquet seating, a hero art piece made from hundreds of traditional antique calligraphy brushes speaking fresh modernity to the age-old beauty of the owners’ Chinese heritage.
