This contemporary new build residence designed by Fox Johnston has comprised of 4 storeys cut into a steep sandstone site with limited access and neighbouring buildings located directly on boundaries. Many finishes within the house are structural elements with minimal finishes increasing the challenge for services provisions throughout the construction phase. The striking architecture consists of a mix of off-form concrete, polished structural slabs, painted face brick, birch veneers, Accoya framed windows, cedar batten screening, window canopies and heavily textured render, all overlooking Mort Bay and views of the city skyline.
