The Duchesne Building was opened in 1911 and blessed by the then Bishop of Auckland Bishop Cleary. The eastern wing was extended in 1957. This building is one we have enjoyed work on over numerous years. Due to ridges coming off in high winds, the condition of the tiles, a complete re-roof was in order. We worked under Kitty Moore the Executive officer at the time, I can not speak highly enough of her, the dedication she showed to make sure the building was protected for future generations to enjoy. The tile used was a Marselha Clay tile chosen for looks and quality of the product, which is second to none.
