Bespoke book case

One rainy morning, Gianfranco and Rosaria walked in to our office with a SketchUp design for a book case to fit their apartment in central Wellington. They had already approached another joiner who said that it wasn’t technically feasible, which is exactly the kind of project that gets our creative juices flowing.

This book case is based around a set of uprights designed as ‘ladders’ made from 24mm birch plywood that hold together individual cabinets with push to open drawers and cabinet doors in 18mm birch select. Everything is custom finished with amber tinted Osmo PolyX .
