Oak wall cladding, schist, wide planked oak flooring and battened walls gave interest and texture to compliment the scale of the clubhouse. Library, billiard room, piano room and reception are compartmentalised with internal steel joinery windows and high doors.
A commissioned chandelier is the hero piece, the drops are moulded glass feathers of the heron, a local wading bird. Art was commissioned to reflect the area’s history and geography.
Residents’ meetings, tournaments, clubs’ activities, dance evenings, a café and restaurant, bar theatre and village administration are included in the clubhouses function.
A fully tiled swimming pool, spa pool, beauty salon, Pilate’s room and gym were completed this year to add to the retirement villages new owner’s grand new flagship.
