Living in Bronte in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs is akin to living the dream for a young, dynamic, growing family. However, they were quickly outgrowing their single storey home.

Engaging a local architect who was also a friend was a truly great start to what would become an amazing build and client/builder/architect working relationship seldom seen on a building site.

Leaving the shell of the existing house, a second storey was added together with an extension to the rear of the property incorporating a timber deck, swimming pool and gorgeous landscaped garden.

This house was softened with rounded corners, Mediterranean render, and timber patterns to the second floor.

With a high volume of foot traffic passing by the house each day, compliments on the design and build of the house were an everyday occurrence for our team of tradesman.

High levels of craftmanship across all trades are evident in every element of this build, from the carpenters who constructed the oversized timber pergola, to the amazing renderers who worked tirelessly on the Mediterranean rough texture render on the existing brick building structure. The finely detailed joinery throughout the build is another feature which can’t be missed.

This is a house that is not only easy on the eye, but kind to your heart; one of To The Mil’s favourite projects to date.
