By Stewart + Stewart
Stewart + Stewart drew inspiration by sourcing and incorporating salvage from the the client’s rural property, a working farm that had once transported bales to this historic wool shed, now converted into private residences. Highlighting its significant structure, customised warehouse doors are layered with sheep shed timbers, dark glass and brass engraved wheels. A dismantled and newly reinstated feature beam with working pulley grace the entry. A raw, uncompromised palette of steel, original industrial brackets, hand made tiles and walls roughly plastered with earth from the property are reflected in unpolished brass, black glass, paired with matte powdercoats and dense slate.
