Fronting Bambra Road, this this one-of-a-pair Clinker Brick home was given a new lease on life with a contemporary subdued extension at the rear and minor alteration works internally. Started during the Victorian Covid lockdowns with material and labour shortages in mind, this home was designed and executed carefully using simple techniques to maximise space, light and energy efficiency whilst factoring in budget and timeframes. The result is a beautiful residence that allows the original home’s character to stand proud at the front whilst the residents enjoy the modern comforts at the rear.
