This new multi-purpose cricket and sports pavilion in Edinburgh Gardens, North Fitzroy, provides a focal point within the park for sporting clubs and the local community.
Nestled amongst the trees on the edge of the ‘Dog Park’ the Pavilion provides a flexible and dynamic facility that is accessible to a wide range of users.
The Pavilion’s permeability encourages a flow of light, activity and movement, developing a strong relationship with the landscape and community, with the intention of making it an integral part of both.
The design aspires to encourage the local community to share and enjoy the parklands through the provision of robust and flexible multi-purpose facilities.
