The flagship Emporium Hotel South Bank showcases iconic style and exquisite service, featuring a stunning bent glass staircase designed by Anthony John Group and executed by John Hyde Glass Innovations, creating a unique and opulent space.
An exciting new chapter in iconic style and exquisite service began with the NEW flagship Emporium Hotel South Bank at Southpoint. It’s predecessor The original Emporium Hotel in Fortitude Valley was Queensland’s first luxury boutique hotel and during its time won many awards as the most luxurious boutique luxury hotel in Australia as well as acclaim around the world.
The WOW factor is immediate from the moment you enter the foyer, through the use of bent glass in the sweeping staircase and void balustrade area. Creating the feeling of light and space yet ensuring all the features and materials used to create this unique and opulent space remain visible from all angles in a way that only glass can.
Created and designed by the Anthony John group, but executed by Cairns based client John Hyde Glass Innovations, this monumental staircase took on a live of its own with the help of Glasshape® who were contracted to site measure the areas requiring bent tempered glass in the foyer area and then produce all the flat and bent glass required for this one of a kind creation.
Location: South Bank, QLD - Australia
