The Futurewood Decking provided a low maintenance, easy clean option for the homeowners with the durability needed to withstand the home's coastal environment.

Clients Steve and Jane invited Futurewood to discuss decking options to replace four existing hardwood decks on their beachfront home in Papamoa. The existing timber deck had been in service for many years but showed signs of age and the effects of the harsh sand and salt environment. The deck colour had become darkened due to the required ongoing staining and repair work done over the years.

Steve and Jane wanted to brighten up the deck areas and ideally with a product that would offer low maintenance, with no painting or the need to tighten screws on a regular basis. They looked forward to a deck to relax and enjoy the fantastic sea views and the beach lifestyle. Steve and Jane evaluated several material options settling on Futurewood Composite Decking as the best solution for them.

Steve and Jane selected Ash Grey as the colour as it offered a natural flow from the light coloured indoor floorboards to the light sand of the beach.

Paul Dent of PRD Construction installed the decks. This was the first Futurewood deck Paul had installed and after a bit of guidance from the team at Futurewood, he had it finished in no time.

The finished job is a credit to Paul and his team. They developed the ideas from their clients and transformed their vision into a beautiful living deck. The deck has had many favourable comments from friends and family leading to more work for Paul and his team.
