Highett Road Shopping Centre and Apartments was completed in May 2013 and represents an excellent example of an urban infill development that enhances its suburban context. This multi-award winning mixed-use development comprises a full-line Woolworths supermarket and 17 specialty retailers at ground level, with 130 residential dwellings above.

The majority of the specialty retail tenancies and apartments are positioned along Highett Rd, with Woolworths accessed via an internal mall. A deep setback to the residential component above reduces the appearance of bulk, maintains the surrounding suburban scale and avoids overlooking.

This development has brought new life to this prominent site, providing a welcoming and accessible retail hub for the local community, creating a vibrant and socially activated mall and streetscape, reinvigorating local commercial opportunities, and introducing a range of 8-star energy efficient high-density residential options in close proximity to public transport and infrastructure.
