Calm Continuous Cabinetry

This project was driven by a singular vision: to create a home that feels like a sanctuary. Every design decision, from materials to flow, was grounded in the surrounding landscape’s serenity. The expansive natural views inspired soft tonal palettes, warm timber accents, and a layout that gently guides you from one space to the next.

In this build connection to place is everything. The setting influences a design ethos centred on flow - visual, spatial, and emotional. Soft oak cabinetry, ambient lighting, and functional nooks create an effortless rhythm, transitioning from open living spaces to intimate retreats.

The team at The Custom Space focused on timeless materials and intelligent joinery to craft an atmosphere of quiet luxury. It’s a home where every drawer, panel, and hidden compartment reflects thoughtful precision, enhanced by Hettich hardware designed to perform quietly in the background.

This project exemplifies how considered cabinetry can enhance daily life. The kitchen leads with quiet sophistication: clean-lined cabinetry in Laminex Warm White Satin blends into the background, while a stainless-steel Fabriweld island benchtop and American white oak bar leaner deliver dual-function excellence. Hettich’s premium Actro YOU runners with Push to open Silent elevate every drawer movement to a sensory experience. Smooth, effortless, precise.

The same design philosophy carries throughout the home. A minimalist desk nook carved into the hallway creates a peaceful, focused workspace. A bespoke oak bedhead integrates ambient lighting and floating bedside tables, reinforcing the idea that even rest can be curated with intention. Clever features like the reading nook’s concealed drawers and the walk-in wardrobe’s streamlined storage show how beauty and utility can coexist.
