Kawarau Falls Bridge.

The Kawarau Falls Bridge is a two-lane road bridge which was completed in 2018, it's 250m long by 14m wide. The bridge crosses the Kawarau River at the edge of Frankton Arm, taking State Highway 6 south.

The Bridge was delivered by McConnell Dowell for the NZ Transport Agency, which replaced the old single lane bridge that runs across the top of the Kawarau Falls Dam. There was also upgrades done to the existing heritage bridge to become dedicated for pedestrians and cyclists only, with an added underpass to provide safe cyclist and pedestrian access to the Queenstown Trails network.

It's a sweeping urban design, of which the inspiration was drawn from the structure and form of the harakeke (also known as flax) plant, that grows at the site.
