Living Edge has completed a full redesign and installation of their Sydney office, creating a ‘post-pandemic’ workspace that supports employee autonomy, collaboration and productivity.

Regarded as a leading design destination for interior designers, architects and design enthusiasts, Living Edge has redefined the traditional workplace through the refurbishment of its commercial showroom office floor in the Alexandria Woolstores complex.

The COVID-19 pandemic ultimately challenged perceptions around the importance of on-site working. While remote work became a mandated expectation during strict lockdowns, companies and employees adapted to working from home. As everyone shifted to remote working, the measure of efficiency no longer focussed on in-person attendance.

As Living Edge braced for the return to the office, they optimised their office design with the intention of coming back ‘better than ever.’ Through maximising space, updating furniture and implementing research-based workplace strategies for post-pandemic work, Living Edge created a space that fosters collaboration, productivity, and well-being. The result is an enticing space for staff to return to.

With an original design by Woods Bagot, the office and commercial showroom space was reimagined by the Living Edge Design Studio, Living Edge’s team of in-house interior designers. Offering consultations at their Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth showrooms, as well as online virtual consultations, Living Edge’s Design Studio offers a personalised and curated interior design service that spans from the initial consultation through to concept development, furniture selection and final delivery stages.
