Designed as a home and income property, this 800 square metre site saw two identical units built; one for the owners to live in and a second anticipated for us as a rental property.

Set on elevated concrete piles to capture the stunning coastal views, these vertical bandsawn cedar-clad homes offer a contrast to the surrounding architectural vernacular, which is heavily dominated by traditional horizontal weatherboards. 

Inside, the homes both incorporate high-end fitouts including Miele appliances and marble walls and floors in the bathrooms, a material which is continued into the kitchens with waterfall marble benchtops. 

Completed in seven months in 2018, on time and on budget, these homes presented the Arthurs Construction team with a unique build across two small dwellings of 65 and 75 square metres. 

The 800 square metre site incorporates water and septic tanks for both properties as well as four car ports, with two tucked under each elevated home to save space.
