The Martin Street NeoMetro project, completed in 2023, is a contemporary building characterized by a homely, "lived-in" feel. CCSS have furnished the interiors with a combination of textures, finishes and vintage furniture to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. As an example, their two-tiered "Lello" sofa provides additional seating, while also acting as a room divider. Its organic shape and shearling-like fabric bring warmth and comfort to the space.
Alongside their use of texture and age, CCSS have gone to great lengths to create a homely and inviting atmosphere. Eclectic furniture, commonly seen in the home, are layered together with patina to bring an air of comfort and age. This style offers a unique, and visually striking, contrast to the contemporary building's finishes.

CCSS was established in 2017 through passion and simple demand. Owners, Clare and Sonam, sum up what they do ‘They are furniture curators.’ With an elusive knack for recognising beauty, potential and sometimes an obscure harmony that can be found between signature pieces of furniture from a score of era’s. The word “eclectic” goes part way to describing the aesthetic that their work realises yet doesn’t quite sit right as it doesn’t even begin to allude to the beautiful consideration and restraint that they innately instill upon spaces they work on. “We like to provide that unique piece for the home, that finishing touch’.
Our own collection ‘MakeBelieve’ aims to create transportive furniture that brings the past in line with the present, to twist the notion of time and space in our homes. We will be working with local artist and makers that share our passion. Our pieces are designed to be illustrative and playful. Our intention is to create transportive, unexpected pieces to bring joy to the home.
