

Teak Construction Group was tasked with reconfiguring the existing Maritime Museum entrance and retail space into a space that better represents the significant size of the museum and the importance of the collections it curates.
The objective of the project is to enhance the presence of the Museum in the Viaduct Basin, promote the Museum collections, promote the retail offerings and create a ‘family friendly’ cafe in the area.
The main works included removing retail tenancy and cafe, creating a temporary fit-out for the vacant tenancy and cafe allowing museum operations to continue whilst the works were carried out. Teak Construction Group also created an additional construction zone to address inter-tenancy aspects of the building
