No other project we have done this year has had such a stark contrast from the Before and After images. This forgotten but surprisingly well used Arcade was a walk through for thousands of people each day, but due to a lack of upkeep over the last 50 years there were very few tenants left. When the owner engaged a Contractor we have a good relationship with we come up with a few different ideas for a simple but effective update to a challenging site. The whole ceiling wasn't going to be replaced, they didn't want any downlighting, the site had 3 entrances/exits with differing light levels at each, security cameras needed high lux levels and it was to be lit both night and day. We decided on 3 lines of Arco to run the length of the T-shaped corridors but not just on the ceiling, up and down the bulkheads also. As you can see the space has transformed and it will better suit tenants, plus make a more comfortable and safe passage for commuters using the car park above.
