Heathcote Appliances was pleased to be involved with Parkhaven, a mixed-use development with views over Boyes and Hinemoa parks. The first two floors offer retail and office space, while the upper three floors compromise premium apartments with stunning views across Hamilton.
Designed by some of Hamiltons best, Edwards White Architects, for BCD Group, the building stands out in Hamilton Central as one of the key symbols of the rejuvenation of Hamilton.
Working closely with BCD Engineering and Black and Orange Properties, Heathcotes were brought on board to provide the appliances as specified by the architects. The stylish Fisher & Paykel kitchen appliances perfectly complimented the modern building design. Their local network of four stores in the Waikato meant any problems were quickly resolved. These included solving last minute delivery fulfilment such as replacing with broken appliances within the same day.
Heathcotes were also relied upon to provide product advice beyond the building stage. This included providing expert and in-depth product information to the property agents who were questioned about the various appliances functionalities during the apartment sale process.
Their role for Parkhaven was simple – expert advice, quick delivery, installation & backup support which only be provided by a retailer with their own appliance servicing division. Sometimes its doing those simple things well that makes all the difference.

Heathcote Appliances was founded in 1946 by Richard ‘Dick’ Heathcote. Initially, it began in Morrinsville, but since has expanded to include large-format stores in Hamilton City and The Base (NZ's Largest Shopping Centre) in Te Rapa - as well as two rural stores in Morrinsville and Te Awamutu.
