By Nodi Rugs + Carpets
With a knack for using grand materials in a refined way, this Parnell office fit-out is designed by architecture firm Monk Mackenzie. Nestled into dark walls, and slatted timber, is a pop of unmissable marigold.
Using colour and texture to warm and soften the office space's communal area, Monk Mackenzie adds our Bamboo Silk + Wool Blend Rug to provide a vibrant invitation to land, sit down and come together.
"The material palette for the office space embraces the robust elements of the existing building, such as the exposed concrete floor and walls. To bring richness and depth to the space we clashed the spine wall with hot rolled steel and added steel joinery partitions fabricated by Saint Leo.
To soften and add warmth to the existing cabinetry unit we wrapped it in a slatted ash sliding screen. Bold furniture pieces with strong colours were selected to reflect the client’s character. The coffee table is a custom steel and glass piece also fabricated by Saint Leo."
