Constructed in the early 80’s with the surrounding landscape at the forefront of its design, this homestead had always been incomplete with both exterior cladding and certain areas of the interior left unfinished.

Built on the edge of a hill amid surrounding rock face it was in keeping with the design to utilise a natural stone on the homesteads exterior in addition to a brick and plaster mix.

The original roof was designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding mountain vistas, with high ridgelines and long valleys clad in timber shingle which had deteriorated due to weather conditions.  After significant debate regarding its replacement, long run iron was chosen because of its suitability within the existing environment.

To ensure the new double glazed aluminium windows complemented the homestead, a flange was added to the windows to create a chunky look window frame.

Encompassing a vast 650m2, the homestead has four bathrooms, seven bedrooms, a formal dining area, open plan kitchen, dining/living area and a formal step-down lounge.

Kitchen benchtops were re-coated with polyurethane, a new stainless steel bench top and hob were installed plus a new faceplate surround attached to the oven. The home was also re-insulated.
