Peace on the Park

This is the second time we have completed a desgin for this apartment. Only a few weeks after our client moved into her newly furnished central city park side home the interiors were substantially damaged by a fire. The damaged required the apartment to be stripped back to the building shell. From that point the the space could be re-imagined with a renewed feeling of peace and calm.

The reconfigured layout removed an unnecessary hallway and room divider to create space for a showstopper of a kitchen with more than a touch of glamour.

While working around existing plumbing locations we changed the proportions of the bathrooms to create a more substantial and luscious main ensuite.

A rich and textural palette of natural materials throughout the apartment included stunning marble, chevron floors, brass and natural wool. The result is a simply beautiful calming oasis in a busy city.
