Elton joined CMT Group in October 2022. He’s a Quantity Surveyor with experience in project management, material procurement, job pricing, price negotiations, contractor evaluations, and business management.

After years in Auckland with his young family, dealing with daily hour-long commutes one way, Elton decided he needed a change. Moving to Marlborough was the perfect choice for Elton and his family. When asked about the top reasons for moving down Elton said:

1. A variety of good schools and day-care centres
2. Safe community and parks.
3. Fun family activities including beaches and rivers.
4. Career opportunities for both him and his wife
5. Laid back lifestyle.

Now all settled in Elton is loving his new life in Blenheim. The 10-minute commute means he has much more free time to focus on spending with his young boys. In addition, getting away from the high crime rate in Auckland helps to provide peace of mind knowing his family is safe.

His first project with CMT Group was a large-scale build for Kāinga Ora– 14 houses, the biggest Marlborough has seen in decades. He jumped at the opportunity to learn from his senior team members.

For the next project, another Kāinga Ora build, Construction Manager Jeff Valk knew Case was ready to take on the responsibility of Site Manager. Jeff says “Case was a dedicated member of the team, taking on challenges and being an influential leader to his peers, so it was only a natural next step for him to become Site Manager”.
